Endorsed by Reconciliation Australia, Every Trade’s Reconciliation Action Plan Innovate 2022-2024 comprises measurable deliverables for the organisation, so that our vision for reconciliation is achieved.
Our vision is to nurture a vibrant and connected community that involves all Australians by striving to actively increase Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ employment and training participation; cultural awareness; and building mutually respectful relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other Australians.
We desire to achieve this vision by forming and cultivating strong partnerships with stakeholders, partners, and the local community. By building and nurturing these relationships we hope to contribute to equality between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the broader Australian community.
“The name ‘Gulaga’ originates from the Gulaga Mountain, which is in the Gulaga National Park, down the far south coast of New South Wales and where the creation story begins for my people of the Yuin Nation.
As a proud Yuin man, our business name is reflective of my origins and roots. Our pathway is made up of stories of different events that have happened on particular parts of the river, up or down, whichever way the dreaming was going.”
– Joel Parsons, Director
We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their elders, past and present, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
